"On September 21 images from the Sentinel-2 satellite, which are available on the EO Browser platform and are at the disposal of "Schemes" (Radio Svoboda), the consequences of the night attack on the russian ammunition depot are visible - there is a fire going on. This military facility is located on north of the village of Kamennyi of the Tikhoretsky district, in the Krasnodar Krai of russia.

According to a report by CSIS analysts, in October 2023, the White House confirmed that this russian base is the main one in the russian federation for storing North Korean ammunition.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of September 21, russian media and Telegram channels reported a fire and detonation near one of the military units in the Tikhoretsky district. The authorities announced the evacuation of the local population from the village near which the fire broke out.

The agency also reported that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the attack on the Tikhoretsk arsenal and announced the destruction of more than 2,000 tons of ammunition, including from North Korea. The General Staff noted that this warehouse "is one of the three largest ammunition storage bases and is one of the key ones in the logistics system of the russian troops."
