Harris names Minnesota Governor Tim Walz her running mate

U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has chosen Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.

She wrote about it on X (formerly Twitter).

"I am proud to announce that I've asked Tim Walz to be my running mate. As a governor, a coach, a teacher, and a veteran, he's delivered for working families like his. It's great to have him on the team. Now let's get to work. Join us,” Harris wrote.

Tim Walz is the Governor of Minnesota (he is in his second term).

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in July, the campaign of Vice President and U.S. presidential candidate Kamala Harris collected USD 310 million.

On July 21, the U.S. presidential candidate from the Republican Party Donald Trump said that, in his opinion, Vice President Kamala Harris will be easier to defeat in the election in November than the incumbent Democratic President Joe Biden.

Recall, the debate between Trump and Harris is scheduled for September 10.
