35,000 citizens of Ukraine returned through the humanitarian corridor on the border of the Sumy Region with the russian federation. The point is currently closed.

Volodymyr Artiukh, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported this on the air of the telethon.

"During the existence of this "corridor of life", more than 35,000 people returned to Ukraine. This is a large number of Ukrainians who returned to their native land," said the head of the Regional Military Administration.

He emphasized that during the last three days the operation of the Kolotilovka-Pokrovka corridor was stopped by russia.

According to him, Ukrainian border guards are ready to restore the operation of the humanitarian corridor and all conditions have been created for the accommodation of evacuated citizens.

Artiukh reminded that Ukrainians can return to the territory controlled by Ukraine through the Mokrany-Domanove checkpoint on the border of the Volyn Region with Belarus.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 7, a number of russian propagandists and "military bloggers" stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine allegedly took control of 11 settlements in the south of the Kursk Region.

Russian media write that the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are conducting an offensive in the Kursk Region of the russian federation, allegedly occupied the outskirts of Sudzha and approached Korenevo.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine allegedly took control of the Sudzha gas measuring station, through which gas is transited to Europe via Ukraine.
