The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has upheld the amount of bail assigned to the head of the AMCU, Pavlo Kyrylenko.

It was reported in the HACC, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The Appeals Chamber upheld the preventive measure against the head of one of the state bodies with a special status.

The HACC does not specify the name of the official, but it is the head of the AMCU.

On September 16, 2024, the Appels Chamber considered the appeals of the parties against the decision of the investigating judge of the HACC dated August 28, 2024 to apply a preventive measure to him in the form of bail in the amount of UAH 30,280,000.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, a bail of UAH 30 million was placed for the head of the AMCU, Pavlo Kyrylenko, who is suspected of illegal enrichment, in accordance with the court's decision.

The court refused to arrest the head of the AMCU Kyrylenko and released him on UAH 30 million bail.

The prosecutors asked the court to arrest the head of the AMCU Pavlo Kyrylenko, who is suspected of illegal enrichment, and to set bail in the amount of UAH 120 million as an alternative. According to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, in 2020-2023, the suspect, while serving as the head of the regional state administration, acquired 21 real estate properties and a luxury car, registering the property in the name of his wife's relatives.

In March, it became known that the NACB and the SACPO opened proceedings against the head of the AMCU Pavlo Kyrylenko after the release by the Skhemy (Schemes) of an investigation, in which journalists stated that the Kyrylenko family owns property worth UAH 70 million.
